When Dean and M. Minnette Massey Professor of Law Tony Varona took the helm as Dean at Miami Law in August 2019 with an ambitious vision to foreground and enhance the school’s excellence, prominence and community, little did anyone expect that the world―and traditional legal education―would be irrevocably changed by the global COVID-19 pandemic. Once the threat began to emerge, Varona set in motion a three-part strategy—of coordination, communication, and constructive engagement—for Miami Law’s response to the evolving exigencies.

The University of Miami School of Law Office of Communications publishes Miami Law Magazine annually. The magazine showcases the achievements of students, faculty, and alumni nationally and internationally. In its newly named and designed format, Miami Law Magazine launched in 2011.
